Bio
Tony Woodlief is a writer and management consultant whose writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The London Times, National Review, and WORLD Magazine. He is also the author of a pamphlet that was the genesis for this book: Raising Wild Boys Into Men: A Modern Dad’s Survival Guide. His short stories, two of which have been nominated for Pushcart Prizes, have appeared in Ruminate and Image. He is currently completing a novel.
Somewhere More Holy, published by Zondervan, is Tony’s first book. It springs from his conviction that God is closer than we often think, and that this is a good thing. A very good thing. Tony’s thoughts on faith, children, and the correct way to distribute pickles on a cheeseburger can be found at tonywoodlief.com. He writes so much because his wife is the one doing all the hard work in the family. He tries to make up for it by selling what he writes and buying her pretty things.
The Woodliefs live on twenty acres outside a small town in Kansas, where their four boys have daily adventures and compete to see who can drag the most mud into the house. They attend church in Wichita, buy groceries wherever they’re cheapest, and go to McDonald’s a little more often than they care to admit. They currently homeschool their children, though this could change at any minute, especially if the oldest doesn’t stop talking back.
